Instructions for Planning Submittals

Applying for New Cases

  • Beginning October 16, 2017, the City of McKinney is implementing a new land management software system from Tyler Technologies called EnerGov.
  • New plan and permit submittals can be made through the Citizen Self-Service Portal (CSS).
  • When we receive your application, an automated email will give you the next steps to complete your submission.
  • Payments for submittals can be made online via CSS with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) or in person by cash or check.
  • For more information on registering in CSS, applying for cases, and making payments, please visit our CSS Tutorials for videos and how-to guides.

Submitting Revisions

  • Once comments have been issued, an automated email will inform you that revisions have been uploaded by staff to eReview.
  • Upon receipt of the revision files, the file names will turn blue in eReviews, and a new review version will appear under Review Details.
  • For more information on eReview, the review process, and submitting revisions, please view our eReview Plan Review Process video.

Please Note:

When uploading files to eReview, be sure to name each file according to the file type (i.e. an amending plat exhibit would be named "Amending Plat"). At this time, only PDF files can be uploaded through eReview.

*Submittals can be made at any time; however, they will only be processed during normal business hours (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Submittals and revisions made after 3 p.m. may not be processed until the following business day.
