Availability of Community Development Block Grant Funds for Grant Year 2017-18


The City of McKinney is the recipient of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds used to address a range of housing and community development activities. The city anticipates receiving its 2017-2018 allocation from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for use effective October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. Eligible organizations are encouraged to apply for funding. Funds must be used to benefit McKinney residents and meet at least one CDBG national objective: 1) benefit to low and moderate income persons; 2) eliminate slum and blight; or 3)  address an urgent need. Projects and activities must also meet eligibility requirements as defined by HUD and the city’s Consolidated Plan. 
 

Pre-application Meeting 


The pre-application meeting will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017, 10 a.m. - 12 Noon at City Council Chambers, McKinney City Hall, 222 North Tennessee Street, McKinney, TX  75069. Attendees will learn about funding and application requirements for submission. The application portal will be available after March 16.
