Youth Career Exploration Camps

Explore Fire and Emergency Response Service Careers. Young people ages 12-15 with an interest in being a firefighter can join the McKinney Fire Department for five days of classroom and field instruction. Camps will be held at the Wysong Central Fire Station #1 at 301 N. McDonald St. 

The camps are limited to 12 participants. The camp fee is $25 for residents and $40 for non-residents. Fee includes T-shirt, lunch, snacks and transportation costs. 

  • Camp 1 - June 26-30, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Deadline for Applications: June 16, 2017
  • Camp 2 - July 17-21, 8:30 a.m. to  4 p.m.  Deadline for Applications: July 7, 2017
