Join us in planting trees at the Senior Recreation Center and we'll share the shade with you. One hundred free trees will be given away to McKinney residents on a first-come, first-served basis. Limit one tree per household. Valid drivers license or ID with a McKinney address is required. 2012 Event Poster





The City of McKinney Arborist
The City of McKinney Arborist works to promote tree preservation through site design and by controlling the indiscriminate removal of trees within the City’s boundaries. More specifically, the Arborist is tasked with applying and enforcing the tree preservation and landscape sections of the Zoning Ordinance. You can also find out which plants are approved for landscape and learn about Tree Permit requirements.
