Day Passes

Non-resident day passes may only be purchased when accompanied by an Apex Centre member or City of McKinney resident.
*First-time day passes for youth require a parent or legal guardian to create an account. This can be done in-person or online by their parent or legal guardian.

Members Only Hours

As a benefit to our members, the outdoor pool contains Members-Only Weekend and Members-Only Hours reserved exclusively for members and their guests.

Members-Only Weekend:
- Guests are not allowed. No exceptions.
Summer Season:
- Starting Memorial Day weekend through the end of the season, Members can bring Non-member guests during Members-Only Hours from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a day pass purchase. Residents of McKinney may enter with the purchase of a day pass beginning at 12 p.m.

Group Passes

All groups must register prior to use. This includes using the Apex Centre pool for recreational swimming,
Groups will pay for their day passes on the day of attendance.
Groups wanting to rent lap lanes, please email Aquatics.

Supervision in the water
- Supervisors/guardians must be 18 years old.
- Children under the age of 7 years must be accompanied by the supervisors in the water at all times.
General Supervision
- Active supervision from the pool deck or in the water is required for ages 7 years and older.
- For the purpose of this policy, staff/supervisors must be at least 16 years of age.

Agencies must provide an adequate number of supervisors for the children under their care.

Notice:

All field trips with over 30 in attendance are subject to approval from the Aquatics Supervisor.
Groups of 30 or more are required to fill out the Field Trip Group form and email it back to contact-apex@mckinneytexas.org.

Membership Documentation & Policies

Memberships include unlimited use of non-instructional aquatics, fitness equipment, indoor track, gymnasium (age permitting) and non-specialty group exercise classes.
Food and coolers are welcome. Glass items and alcohol are prohibited. For more details, view our Policies & Rules before arriving.
Teens, 13–15 years old, may only utilize fitness equipment when accompanied by a parent/ guardian, regardless if the participant has completed the Teen Fitness Orientation. The parent/ guardian must always be in the same vicinity as the teen.

If purchasing a Youth or Senior membership or pass, please bring proof of age. Parents must be present during the purchase of a youth membership or pass.

Annual Membership Refund Policy
Refunds are only given for annual memberships within the first 30-day opt-out period. After the first 30 days, annual memberships are non-refundable.

30-Day Opt-out Period
Annual members may only request a refund within the first 30 days from the date of purchase.

Within the first 30 days from the date of purchase, a one-month fee at the monthly rate, plus a $75 service charge, will be deducted from the original amount paid at the time of refund.

All requests must be submitted in writing by filling out the form or emailing ApexMem@McKinneyTexas.org.

Annual Membership Transfer Policy
Individual or family annual members may transfer their membership to another individual or family. If the individual or family receiving the annual membership is a non-resident of the City of McKinney, the receiving party will be required to pay the difference between the resident annual membership fee and the non-resident annual membership fee. If a non-resident annual membership is transferring their annual membership to a resident of the City of McKinney, there is no refund for the price difference.

Monthly Membership

For those individuals choosing a monthly payment option, a 30-day written notice is required to discontinue the monthly deduction. The $75 one-time enrollment fee is non-refundable.

Freeze

Members may request that their membership be frozen, without providing a reason.
All requests must be submitted in writing, in person or by emailing ApexMem@McKinneyTexas.org.
A freeze takes effect on the day requested; we cannot implement freezes for future dates.
All freezes must be a minimum of 30 days.
Unfreezing a membership can be done at the Customer Service Desk at any time, with the assistance of a manager on duty or Customer Service Supervisor.

No maximum time a monthly membership can be frozen.

Definitions

McKinney Residents: Are those who own a home, a business, or are employed by a business that pays property taxes to the City of McKinney. Proof of residency, ownership or employment in McKinney is required. This definition pertains to membership rates, excluding day passes.
Family: No more than two adult heads of household and dependents that are 23 years of age or younger in school or living at home. It also includes persons with special needs living in a single housekeeping unit at the same address.
- Family Day Pass consists of two adults and four children residing at the same address. Any additional person must pay the individual day pass fee.
