Construction Updates

The long-awaited expansion of the John and Judy Gay Library has arrived! Check out this page regularly for construction updates.

April 16, 2019

Work has begun on installing the temporary wall that will separate the library from the construction to the east. The U.S. and Texas flags have been temporarily removed as the flagpoles will be taken down due to construction on the sidewalks and road.

March 19, 2019

Construction has begun on the road that will extend from the current John and Judy Gay driveway to the Gabe Nesbitt Park exit to the west. This second exit is required due to library expansion. This road will bring with it additional parking, landscaping and a wide walk area.

March 12, 2019

The construction crew has started to set up the construction site. They will be breaking ground at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 in the field to the east of the library. Shovels and hardhats will be present for the ceremony. Check out the event.
