Collin CARES Emergency Housing and Living Assistance (EHLA) Program

Collin County is providing assistance for Collin County residents to help with utility bills and to help prevent eviction / foreclosure. Funds are NOT first-come, first-serve. The grant runs from June 1 through December 1, 2020. Questions or concerns? Email or call 972-547-9001.


Collin CARES Small Business Grant Program

The Collin CARES Small Business Grant program provides grants up to $25,000 for qualified Collin County business that have experienced a financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Applications Accepted: Sept 4 - 25, 2020

Eligibility requirements:

  • Be a business within Collin County, exclusive of the City of Dallas
  • Must have been in business for at least 6 months prior to March 1, 2020
  • Employ fewer than 100 full-time equivalent employees
  • Annual gross revenues must be less than $5 million
  • Demonstrate a >15% gross revenue loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Eligible expenses from March 1 - Aug. 31, 2020

  • Fixed Costs
  • Utilities
  • Contract Labor
  • Supplier Payments
  • COVID-19 Improvements

Tri-City Collin County Small Business Grant Program 

The City of McKinney and McKinney Economic Development Corporation launched a $5 million dollar grant program to support small businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Tri-City Collin County Small Business Grant Program (SBGP) is a collaboration between the City of Frisco, the City of Allen, and the City of McKinney designed for businesses operating in these cities and within Collin County. Funding for the program is provided by Collin County as part of the CARES Act.

McKinney Strong Grant Program for Small and Home-Based Businesses

The City of McKinney, partnering with the McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC), established the McKinney Strong Grant program, offering grants to eligible small and home-based businesses within McKinney that have endured economic hardships due to COVID-19. The grant is funded by up to $1 million dollars in unallocated MCDC promotional funds, as legislative parameters allow.
