The Fire Museum is located in the Wysong Central Fire Station (Fire Station 1) located at 301 N. McDonald Street in McKinney.
Currently, actual hours of operation will depend on the availability of volunteer staff and/or the availability of on-duty staff to assist visitors.
Built in 2006, this Fire History Museum exhibits the history of the city's fire department and emergency medical operations as well as honors all McKinney firefighters (paid and volunteer) who dedicated their lives to serving and protecting the citizens of McKinney.
The Fire Museum provides a visual history of the culture, technology and related facets of fire and emergency medical service from its earliest beginnings to the present. In the process, it also provides a forum to teach and promote fire safety and prevention.
