Free Tax Assistance from AARP

Pick up a 2022 Tax Year Information Packet at either library starting on Monday, January 23. It contains the information you need to complete before scheduling your appointment with the AARP tax aides at the library location of your choice. 

Note: Library staff are unable to schedule appointments so please contact AARP via the number listed in the tax packet to schedule your appointment.

AARP volunteers request that you bring:

  • Social Security card or year-end Social Security statement for each person on return, including all dependents.
  • Last year’s tax return.
  • All current year tax documents.
  • Photo ID (i.e. driver's license, passport) for each adult on return.
  • Voided check for direct deposit of refund or direct debit of taxes owed (highly recommended).
  • All documents must be readable and in paper form. The information packet will supply further information concerning any special considerations.
