Effective Monday, March 23 - In an effort to reduce the risk of solid waste workers’ exposure to COVID-19, the city’s trash and recycling vendor Waste Connections will temporarily suspend pick-up of bulky items, yard waste and Household Hazardous Waste (HHW).
Notice: The Regional Disposal Facility and the Custer Road Transfer Station drop-off locations are experiencing increased traffic. As a result you can expect longer than normal lines at both facilities and delays. Please plan accordingly.
Yard waste can only be dropped off at the Custer Transfer Station. Residents will be required to show a utility bill from their respective municipality at the glass window to confirm residency.
The Department of Solid Waste Services contracts with Waste Connections, Inc. to offer a comprehensive municipal solid waste collection, recycling and disposal program using a fully automated residential and commercial collection system.
