Learn More About How Artists Make It Work
A new report from the National Endowment for the Arts reveals that, between 2012 and 2016, approx. 34% of artists (across all disciplines) were self-employed (compared with 9% of workers in other industries). The top reasons that artists gave for choosing self-employment were flexibility, independence, and the nature of their creative work.
Even if you don't see how you could (or even would want to) make a full-time living in your creative work , 1/3 million Americans work as an artist as an additional "gig" to their primary job. If nothing else, it might be nice not to lose money at being an artist, by having to self-fund your creative passions.
Art Is Not Free
That's #1 in the "arts business paradigm" of The Work of Artists' creator and instructor, Luann Jennings. A 30+ year veteran of arts business and entrepreneurship, Luann wants you to make money so you can keep making art.
*We value your time and your craft, so this workshop is limited to only 40 participants to ensure attendees receive an immersive and beneficial experience.
