McKinney residents can weigh in on the City’s budget during the upcoming public hearings. As part of the public hearings, highlights of the proposed budget will be presented.
This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by $5,116,760 or 4.43%, and of that amount, $5,225,834 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.
Citizens can comment on the proposed budget as part of the public hearings. The public hearings for the proposed budget are on Tuesday, Sep. 3 at 6 p.m. and Tuesday, Sep. 17 at 6 p.m. Public hearings will be held in the Council Chambers of McKinney City Hall, located at 222 N. Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas 75069.
The vote to adopt the budget is schedule for Tuesday, Sep. 17, following the public hearing.
