Place all items in cardboard box(es) labeled E-waste at the curb / alley by 7 a.m. on your scheduled appointment day at least three feet from your residential trash / recycling receptacles.
Unapproved items or excessive amounts will not be collected.
Electronics are picked up by appointment only. Collections must be requested before 12 p.m. (noon) the business day prior to your collection day. Confirmation will be made by email. Please call Solid Waste Services at 972-547-7385 with any questions.
If you need to reschedule or cancel please contact our office prior to 5 p.m. the day before the scheduled collection to avoid reducing the number of 12 available requests you have per year.
This service is limited to customers who live within McKinney city limits and whose water billing accounts are in good standing. Customers who have city water utilities but not city trash services and live outside the city limits or in the ETJ, like Trinity Falls, do not qualify for this service.
You may submit one modification and all cancellations through email at Contact-SolidWaste@McKinneyTexas.org. Please do not submit more than one request per week.
A confirmation email will be sent from an @McKinneyTexas.org email address within 48-72 hours. Please check your Junk or Spam folders if you do not see the email in your inbox.
